Coming soon- 'psychic' cars that know where to go and how to get there!

In a major auto-technology breakthrough, Ford and Google have teamed up to create a car with "psychic" powers, which can predict where it has to go and adjust the way it operates along the way.Envisioned as an opt-in service, owners would have their driving habits monitored by a cloud-based computer program that incorporates Google Prediction API software, creating a model of their behavior over time.
"When you turn on your car it's going to go out to the cloud and ask that model a question," the Fox News quoted Ryan McGee, Ford Technical Expert as saying. The psychic car has an edge over the 'mapping software', which accomplishes the same purpose. The former doesn't require the driver to manually feed in the destination every time he gets into the car.The idea behind this project is to take as much effort as possible away from the driver and hardware out of the car.
However, experts feel that the unpredictable nature of human beings will still likely require a conversation between man and machine."We think there's going to have to be an interaction that the customer has with the system. Because we don't want to make a complete assumption if we think there's going to be different behavior," added (ANI).
